The Best-Laid Plan

Have you ever heard anyone use the phrase, "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry" ?

Well, it is absolutely true. BUT, I know a Master, whose Master Plan has never failed, is still strong, and will never be thwarted.

I love how God lays out His plan for us in Genesis 5, in the lineage of Adam, from Adam to Noah. Have you ever seen this before?

ADAM.......means "MAN"
SETH.........means "APPOINTED"
ENOS.........means"MORTAL"
KENAN......means "SORROW"
MAHALALEL....means "THE BLESSED GOD"
JARED.............means "SHALL COME DOWN"
ENOCH............means "TEACHING"
METHUSELAH...means "HIS DEATH SHALL BRING"
LAMECH............means "DESPAIRING"
NOAH..............means "REST"

Man appointed mortal sorrow. The Blessed GOD shall come down, teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

There it is...the Best-laid plan. In Genesis. From the beginning.

It will not be thwarted. It will never go awry.

Wow. That's really neat. I've never seen that before. There is so much in the Bible that I just read past, not realizing what it really means.

I've heard this before. A relative taught it to me. I've always wished I had written it down and now, here you have it!
