I will blog soon about my thoughts regarding contributing to the HNIC anthem challenge, but for the moment, I would simply appreciate your support and feedback directly on the anthem challenge site about this 4th and final submission. Comments and ranking by fans helps out!! Thanks so much :)

Your Support Please...
I have entered a submission for the Hockey Night in Canada Anthem Challenge! I hope to get a few more submissions in before the deadline on the 31st. I'd love for you to visit the cbc.ca site and leave some comments...apparently comment and viewer ratings play a small part in the judging process. Check back again to see more of my stuff!
It's all fun and games, but it's Canadian history in the making! :)

NOT For Rent
Earlier today I almost blogged a picture of my kids with a "For Rent" sign on them...
We all were in need of much grace. Thankfully I know the ultimate Grace-Giver. He had much to give today. Tomorrow has GOT to be quieter...it has to be uphill from where we were!
However, in the midst of their noise and my impatience, I was grateful to see some significant efforts on the part of my Mackenzie today to be a helper. He made me coffee...TWICE. He weeded a very weed-y garden (of course, his Dad had promised him a sizeable reward, but, regardless...) He even picked up cat poop without me asking him to. And he made his sister breakfast.
Those are little big things which I don't take lightly. The Lord was working in Mackenzie's mind and heart today to show love by serving, and I'm glad that the Lord helped me look outside of my selfish, want-to-run-away mindset to see it. And in the midst of chaos, I was very thankful.
I love it when God invades my littleness with His bigness.
